International Shipping Forms and Instructions

Follow these three steps and your international shipment will be on its way.

  1. Complete your order online using Web Trak or email your order information to your Account Manager.
  2. A NorthStar representative will then confirm your shipment.
  3. Please attach labels to every piece and print two copies of the bill of lading.  Give one to the driver and keep one for your records.
  4. Complete your Commercial Invoice (additional forms may be required depending on the value of your goods).

Follow These Guidelines to Make Your International Shipment a Success

  • Complete your Commercial Invoice in advance (additional forms may be required depending on the value of your goods).
  • Customs Broker?  Have you arranged customs clearance services in the destination country?  If not, NorthStar can assist.
  • Include advance warehouse cut-off time and dates and show-site move-in times and dates.
  • Include exact dimensions per piece.
  • Include emergency contact information such as cell phone numbers.
  • Pack and label your shipment carefully. Each piece should have one label with the destination address, show name and booth number. Indicate pieces by numbering 1 of 10, 2 of 10 etc.
  • If shrink-wrapped or palletized, place a label on each piece as well as outside on the shrink-wrap.
  • Remove all old labels and re-label each piece with the destination address.
  • Be sure that all pieces are securely closed and in good condition.
